Other Services – Carrum Downs
At Alliance Connect, we understand that the quality of your final product relies heavily on the precision and care taken during the finishing stages. That’s why we offer or manage on your behalf an array of specialised finishing services designed to enhance the performance, durability, appearance and overall quality of your end product.
Impregnation
We also provide impregnation services to seal any porosity, preventing leaks and enhancing structural integrity.
Anodising
Hard anodising is performed where maximum hardness, wear and corrosion resistance is required.
Polishing
Polishing is process that removes roughness on the surface and polishes the product to a smoother brighter finish. There a various techniques depending on the level of smoothness, polish or brightness required.
Plating
Plating uses a chemical bath to coat or alter the surface with a thin layer of metal, such as nickel or PTFE. Metal plating can improve a product’s durability, corrosion resistance, surface friction, and exterior appearance.
Powdercoating/Painting
Powder coating is a finishing process where a colour or coating is applied to a product. A powder is sprayed on the part using a magnetically charged spray gun. The coated part is then placed in an oven where the powder melts into an even, solid coat across the entire surface of the part. A range of painting options are also available.
Machining
Alliance Connect has the ability to machine our own parts, we have CNC and Lathe capabilities. Many of our customer take advantage of our end-to-end service of casting and machining.
Heat Treatment (aluminium parts only)
Heat treatment is the process of heating and cooling metals to change their microstructure and to bring out the physical and mechanical characteristics that make metals more desirable or durable. The most common reasons metals undergo heat treatment are to improve their strength, hardness, toughness, ductility (stretchiness) and corrosion resistance.
